What is made-to-measure wallpaper?
- Made-to-measure wallpaper is printed to the exact dimensions of your wall, rather than sold as fixed-size rolls that are trimmed on site. At Wall in Love, each LondonArt mural is custom-printed in Italy to your measurements, so the design lands precisely where it should with no awkward repeat break across the wall. Zambaiti Parati's rolls are the exception: they come in fixed widths, 53 cm, 70 cm or 106 cm, and are hung by matching the pattern repeat. Zambaiti's murals, like LondonArt's, are printed to fit the wall.
What makes a wallpaper high end?
- Four things, and each one is checkable on this site. First, the design: 54 named designers and fashion houses, among them DSQUARED2, MARNI, Marcel Wanders and Elena Salmistraro, rather than an unattributed studio pattern. Second, where it is made: LondonArt prints its murals to order in Italy, and Zambaiti Parati makes its wallpapers and murals in Albino, Italy, so every design here is European wallpaper. Third, the material, which is specified rather than assumed: eight of them, each with its maker's own figures for reaction to fire, washability and water. Fourth, the fit: a LondonArt mural is made to order at the width and height of one wall, instead of being cut down from a fixed-size roll. A high-end wallpaper is one that holds up on all four counts, and every LondonArt design here is high-end wallpaper on all four. Zambaiti Parati's wallpapers are made in Italy and sold by the roll rather than made to order; Zambaiti states their material and fire class for some collections and not for others, and names the collection rather than a designer.
Is your wallpaper bespoke, or made to measure?
- Both words describe the same order, and it is worth being exact about which part of it is bespoke. The artwork is the designer's, drawn from LondonArt's or Zambaiti Parati's catalogue; we do not commission new artwork. What is made for you is the piece. A LondonArt mural is printed to order in Italy at the width and height of your wall, on whichever of the eight materials suits the room, and we can arrange a colour proof for any design in the catalogue before you commit. In that sense it is bespoke wallpaper: the panel is made for one wall and no other, and made-to-measure wallpaper is the plainer name for the same thing. Zambaiti Parati's wallpapers are the exception, sold by the roll in 53 cm, 70 cm and 106 cm widths and hung by matching the pattern repeat; its murals are printed in panels to fit the wall.
How much does a wallpaper mural cost?
- Price on request. A LondonArt mural is printed to order at the size of your wall, so its price follows the wall rather than a roll count, and Zambaiti Parati's wallpapers are sold by the roll, so their price follows the number of rolls the wall takes; Zambaiti's murals, like LondonArt's, are quoted for the wall's size. What wallpaper materials do you offer?
- Eight. LondonArt prints its designs on six: RAW, its material for homes; BOLD, a vinyl on cotton cloth for contract and public settings; GLASS with the White Glass Finish, very hard-wearing and washable, for kitchens and busy public areas; GLASS with the Blue Glass Finish, waterproof, for showers, basin splashbacks and external walls; GREEN, a PVC-free cellulose; and SOUNDPROOF, a sound-absorbing vinyl (LondonArt measures its weighted sound absorption at αw 0.40). ExclusiveWallPanel designs are printed on aluminium panels with a resin coating finished by hand. The eighth, TEXTURED ROLL, holds Zambaiti Parati's wallpapers, sold by the roll, and its murals, printed in panels to fit the wall, with LondonArt's Unlimited textures, also sold by the roll. We recommend the right material for each room.
Can I use your wallpaper in a bathroom or wet area?
- Yes, on GLASS with the Blue Glass Finish, which LondonArt makes for "wet spaces with flowing water, shower interiors, basin splashbacks and external walls". It is waterproof and UV resistant. The White Glass Finish is very hard-wearing and washable, for kitchens and walls that are cleaned often. For damp interiors, Zambaiti Parati makes Z Waterproof, a fibreglass backing it recommends for bathrooms, showers, wellness centres, spas and gyms, on the designs of its Project II collection. Keep GREEN away from damp and water.
Which materials are fire-rated?
- The makers state these reaction-to-fire classes: RAW: B-s2, d0 (EN 13501-1) / ASTM E 84-21a Class A; BOLD: ASTM E 84-20 Class A; GLASS with the White Glass Finish: B-s1, d0 (EN 13501-1); GLASS with the Blue Glass Finish: B-s1, d0 (EN 13501-1), fibreglass; SOUNDPROOF: B-s2, d0 (EN 13501-1) / ASTM E 84 Class A; TEXTURED ROLL: By collection: B-s2-d0 (HOME, Home Digital Panels, Eterea’s rolls, the murals of Savana, Satin Flowers, Architexture, Marrakech and Mini Trend); D-s3, d2 (Automobili Lamborghini, declaration VS02); B-s1-d0 (Boiserie 3D); by backing (Project II, Project, Atelis, Eterea’s murals); not stated by Zambaiti (Trussardi, Fuksas, FRAMES, Tradizione Italiana, Casa Chic, Natural, Murella 100, Murella Splendor, Vision, and the rolls of Savana, Satin Flowers, Architexture, Marrakech and Mini Trend); Unlimited by texture. Do you have a PVC-free or eco-friendly wallpaper?
- Yes. GREEN is LondonArt's PVC-free material: pressed cellulose fibres, breathable, with a smooth, matt surface, printed made to measure like LondonArt's other materials. Its maker states it recyclable — whether a stripped wallcovering is accepted depends on your local recycling service. LondonArt makes it for homes, such as living rooms and bedrooms. Its limits are stated as plainly as its strengths: keep it away from damp, water and chemical cleaning products (it is dusted dry, and a stain is patted off at once, never rubbed), and LondonArt states no reaction-to-fire class for it — where your project needs a stated class, RAW, BOLD, SOUNDPROOF and GLASS carry their makers' classes.
Is your wallpaper suitable for commercial and hospitality projects?
- Yes. BOLD is LondonArt's vinyl for the contract world and public settings such as offices and shops: very hard-wearing and resistant to knocks. SOUNDPROOF absorbs part of the sound that reaches the wall (αw 0.40), for offices, restaurants, gyms, cinemas, conference halls and theatres. GLASS with the White Glass Finish suits kitchens, hotels, lobbies and corridors, and the Blue Glass Finish suits showers and basin splashbacks. We work directly with architects, interior designers and builders, and LondonArt's projects include boutique hotels, restaurants, shops, workplaces and exhibitions.
Which designers and brands do you carry?
- 1635 designs from 54 Italian and international designers, including fashion-house collaborations such as DSQUARED2 and MARNI and studio work from Marcel Wanders and Elena Salmistraro. Wall in Love sells LondonArt's collections and Zambaiti Parati's wallpapers and murals.
Do you offer trade accounts for architects and interior designers?
- Yes. Our trade programme is built for architects, interior designers and builders, offering priority access to samples, technical support on the materials and project pricing. We work directly with LondonArt's production in Italy, which means accurate colour proofing and access to the full designer catalogue.
How does the room visualiser work?
- Upload a photo of your own room and preview a design on your walls before you commit, so you can judge colour, pattern and proportion in your actual space rather than from a swatch. It is free to use on the website.
How do I order samples?
- Samples are available on request, and we ask for a conversation first — a short call or a note about the room, its light and the wall — so that what arrives is the right material as well as the right design. Ring 0411 178 666 or write to sales@wallinlove.com.au. We hold a sample of every material and can arrange colour proofs for any design in the catalogue, so you can check the material and the exact colour before you order. You are also welcome in the showroom, where the murals hang at full scale.
Which parts of Australia do you deliver to?
- Every state and territory: Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory. Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart, Darwin and the Gold Coast are all delivered to, and so are regional towns. Murals are custom-printed in Italy and shipped to any address in Australia. We hold samples of every material and can arrange a colour proof for any design in the catalogue, which is how an interstate or regional project is specified before anything is ordered. Our Melbourne team and showroom support the whole process (design selection, specification, sampling and delivery) from first idea through to installation.
Can I visit the Melbourne showroom?
- Yes. Our showroom is at 106 Barkly Street, St Kilda VIC 3182, open Monday to Friday 9:00am–5:30pm, and on Saturday by appointment. It is designed as a gallery: a luxury wallpaper showroom where LondonArt murals hang at full scale and there is a sample of every material to handle. Appointments are welcome, or you can visit during gallery hours.
