Alternativo Restaurant & Lounge Bar

Located within the Portonaccio neighborhood, an area much frequented by Rome's evening nightlife, Alternativo is a pizza restaurant that was born from the customers' desire to enjoy a new cuisine, an alternative cuisine in fact. The design embraces this philosophy and tries to step outside the box in its finishes and colors.

At the entrance we immediately find the bar counter, a block of corten sheet metal with light cuts that enliven its shape. The wine display is entrusted to a bottle rack with a slanted shape as slanted are the mirrors on the ceiling that reflect the lights and colors of the bar. Definitely striking is the wallpaper made in the same pattern in two different colors on which a neon sign stands out, inviting alternative thinking. The colors are bright and range from red to blue on the furniture that contrasts with the rough concrete-effect paint on the walls.
